Resource Mapping Project is an activity being performed as part of a technical assistance grant CT received from the National Governor’s Association for Transitioning Services for Young Adults with Disabilities. Multiple state agencies and a Workforce Board that serve young adults – in particular those with disabilities – have committed funding and contracted with Public Consulting Group, Inc. to map out the services provided by each agency and conduct an analysis of the resources available. This method will help determine where transition services are provided, the types of services provided, overlap and gaps in services provided.

At the last meeting of the CT Youth Vision Team, members became interested in the possibility that by putting together our current resources (policy and regulatory authority; client information; staff skills; best practice knowledge; and existing or new fiscal resources) we might be able to propose a “systems change” demonstration project related to the Team’s vision to:

"Create a collaborative, sustainable, and performance-focused system that prepares Connecticut’s most-at-risk youth for success in education, in the global demand-driven economy, in their families, and in their communities."
