Description Legislation passed by the 2006 Connecticut General Assembly establishing the Youth Futures Committee has its roots in a 14-state Youth Policy Institute held in Chicago in early September 2005. This forum, hosted by the National Governors Association, National Conference of State Legislators, and Forum for Youth Investment, had as its purpose supporting legislators and other state policy makers in the development of tools and supports to strengthen their youth policies and programs.
