Pursuant to Public Act 06-187, section 16, the committee shall plan for the implementation of any changes in the juvenile justice system that would be required in order to extend jurisdiction in delinquency matters and proceedings to include sixteen-year-old and seventeen-year-old children within the Superior Court for Juvenile Matters. On or before February 1, 2007, the committee shall submit a report, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, on the committee's findings, together with any recommendations for appropriate legislation, to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the judiciary and human services.
